Training Specialist III

Job Summary:

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a motivated and qualified high energy Training Specialist III to support the Bank’s Human Resources department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to provide World Class Experience while promoting the community bank atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct or facilitate training sessions for associates (one-on-one, in-person and online) in areas of, bank operations, leadership, compliance, orientation, product knowledge, sales, customer service, computer programs, loan support , policies and procedures, and other subjects as needed.
  • Follow-up with associates supervisors/managers to discuss participant’s progress, performance and additional training needs.
  • Manage course scheduling, enrollment and track course completion.
  • Supervise and evaluate trainees during training sessions.
  • Design, develop, maintain, update, enhance and facilitate quality associate training courses (in-person and online courses).
  • Serve as a representative on behalf of the Training Department on enterprise-wide project teams including making discretionary decisions to move projects and training programs forward.
  • Analyzes factors of scope, cost, resources including people and time to provide training recommendations.
  • Understanding of group dynamics and able to confidently make recommendations on issues including negotiating of opinions and thoughts.
  • Track course evaluations and continuously improve and develop training based on feedback.
  • Pull reports, maintain records and assign courses as needed in the Learning Management System.
  • Maintain a working understanding of, and comply with, bank policies, procedures, and applicable banking regulations.banking regulations.
Education and Experience (required):
  • Associate Degree required; BA preferred or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years of curriculum design and development experience
  • Minimum of three years of banking experience
  • Minimum of three years of classroom facilitation and/or presentation experience
Skills (required):
  • Knowledge of diverse adult learning styles.
  • Computer literate; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Premier, Captivate, Adobe Professional. Familiarity with FISERV operating systems desirable.
  • Familiarity with utilizing a learning management system for tracking, reporting and posting courses, desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as an active team member on projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for internal customer focused communications.
  • Must have organizational, time management and independent working skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment and work with deadlines.
