This distinctly different approach to banking has been in our DNA since the very beginning. Grounded in the belief that a local bank could provide both the highest level of personalized financial services and a major commitment to the community, a group of local business leaders founded the Bank of Montecito in 1975.

We were locally owned and managed then, and we still are today: the Bank of Montecito is now Montecito Bank & Trust, a nine branch community bank serving personal and business financial needs in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, and has in-depth commercial lending capabilities and a highly respected Wealth Management division.

We were committed to community then, and we still are today. Through programs like Community Dividends® and Anniversary GrantsSM and the volunteer efforts of our associates, we continue to support the communities that support our success.
