Frequently Asked Questions

Mobile Business Banker is a free service for customers of Montecito Bank & Trust’s online Business Banker, and allows you to view account balances, activity, transfer money, review and approve transactions, initiate wire and ACH transfers, and locate branches and ATMs from certain supported cell phones.

Yes, you must have at least one Montecito Bank & Trust account to use our mobile banking services.

  1. Log on to Business Banker and navigate to the Options tab.
  2. Click on Mobile Banking Enrollment.

    You will need:

    • Your 10-digit cell phone number.
    • The name of your wireless carrier.
  3. Enter your cell phone number.
  4. Select your wireless carrier from the drop-down menu provided.
  5. Create you personal Mobile Banking PIN.
  6. Carefully read the enrollment information and click Submit.

Setting up Mobile Business Banker on your phone is easy and hassle-free. There are no applications to download, and just a few simple steps to begin. After you enroll, Montecito Bank & Trust will send a text message to the cell phone number you provided. The message will include:

  • A link to the Montecito Bank & Trust Mobile Business Banker website
  • A One-Time Password to log in from your cell phone
  1. Simply click on the link in the text message and the One-Time Password will be entered automatically. If your device does not allow you to click on the link provided, you can also navigate to the login page at www.montecito.com/mobile (or http://mobile.montecito.com) from your phone’s Web browser and manually enter the One-Time Password.
  2. Enter your Online Access ID and Mobile Banking PIN.

You should receive your enrollment text with your One-Time-Password and login link immediately.

Mobile Business Banker works with all U.S. wireless carriers, and is compatible with any mobile device (phone, PDA, iPhone®, or Palm®) with Internet capability. If you are unsure of your phone’s capabilities, please contact your wireless provider. Please note: Although Montecito Bank & Trust does not charge for Mobile Business Banker, your wireless carrier’s standard Internet access rates do apply.

Unfortunately, Mobile Business Banker cannot be used if your phone cannot access the Internet. Talk to your wireless provider about upgrading to a newer phone that has Internet capabilities.

Check balances, check account activity, review and approve transactions, initiate wire and ACH transfers, and transfer money between your Montecito Bank & Trust accounts.

At this time, you may complete transfers to and from your Montecito Bank & Trust checking and savings accounts.

Not at this time, although that is a future planned feature.

Yes: For Internal Transfers made online, the cut-off time is 5:00 p.m. Pacific time. For wires, the cut-off time is 2:00 p.m. Pacific time.

Montecito Bank & Trust does not charge for the Mobile Business Banker service; however, your wireless provider may charge for Internet access. Please check with your wireless carrier for Internet access rates and plans.

Mobile Business Banker delivers the highest level of security thanks to multiple layers of authentication. This includes a unique Access ID, a personal PIN number that only you know, and a ONE TIME PASSWORD that changes each time you login. Plus, no personal information is stored on your device at any time. All these measures together ensure that your information is fully protected.
