Anniversary GrantsSM is a
unique Montecito Bank & Trust annual charitable gifting program
helping the bank celebrate its opening day anniversary, March 17, 1975.
Anniversary Grants began in 1993 with bank associates casting their votes
to select ten 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organizations to receive
an Anniversary Grant. Annually since 1993, bank associates submit their
favorite nonprofit organizations to the voting list and then lobby
their colleagues for votes. Each associate has 5 votes to cast for
their top organization choices. Votes are tallied and those ten
organizations with the most associate votes receive Anniversary Grants.
Around St. Patrick’s Day, the selected organizations attend a bank
reception as part of the bank’s anniversary celebration. Recipient
organizations must then wait two years to again be eligible for an
award. It’s a great way for bank associates to learn about and support
the wonderful and varied nonprofits serving our Santa Barbara and Ventura
County communities.
